I wanted to have 2 roof lights installed in my attic. I contacted a Builder for quote. I asked the Builder if I needed any Planning or Building consent for this work. The Builder said No I did not need any Planning or Building consent. I spoke to the Council and asked them for advice. They said I would need Building and possibly Planning consent depending on several factors. I found this very confusing.
